Knee Pain/Injury

PhysiotherapyWhether you have sustained an acute knee injury or have gradually developed knee pain over a period of time, you can be assured that our Physiotherapists are experts in diagnosing and treating knee pain and injury.

Like most injuries the most important part of treatment is getting your knee injury correctly diagnosed. We do this by conducting comprehensive examinations of the ligaments, meniscus, and tendons of the knee joint. We use state of the art equipment to assess for any strength and mobility deficiencies. Following this we embark on injury specific treatment and rehabilitation that will involve both manual therapy and specific exercise in our rehab gym.

Some of the common injuries we see are;

  • ACL tear/reconstruction
  • Patellofemoral mal-tracking
  • ITB friction syndrome
  • Fat-pad impingement
  • Medial ligament tears
  • Meniscal injuries
  • Cartilage injuries/surgery
  • Knee arthroscopy rehabilitation
  • Patellofemoral dislocations

If you would like to know if we can help you with your particular knee injury, just use our ‘Ask a Physio’ contact box and one of our knee Physios will get back to you today.

Gaitscan

We use the industry leading Gaitscan TM system to assess exactly how your foot functions during gait as you walk or run across a pressure plate. This enables the Physiotherapist to have a clear picture of your foot biomechanics and determine the effect this is having on your ankles, knees, hips and back.
