Arthritis management is often an ongoing process rather than a fixed course of treatment. Many patients attend an initial intensive phase of 6–10 sessions, then transition to periodic maintenance or an independent home programme. We will give you a clear plan at your first assessment.
Yes — we are recognised by all major health insurers. Some insurers also cover ongoing management for chronic conditions. However, check with your insurer about your specific policy, and our team can advise on what to expect.
While the degenerative changes in a joint cannot be reversed, the inflammation caused by them can be reduced considerably. Specific exercise therapy, movement retraining, and education have strong evidence behind them for reducing pain and improving function — often significantly. Many of our arthritis patients go on to delay or entirely avoid joint replacement surgery. We can also arrange medication or injections if indicated. The earlier you start, the better the results.
Yes — and it is one of the most important things you can do. Gentle, targeted exercise reduces pain, strengthens the muscles around joints, and improves overall function. Our physiotherapists will design a safe programme tailored to your joints, your fitness level, and your daily life. You will never be asked to push through damaging pain.
