How can our physiotherapy help you?

Physiotherapy aims to restore normal function to the body through non-invasive therapies. At West London Physiotherapy we utilise movement, manipulation, exercise and manual therapy to alleviate pain and ease debilitating musculoskeletal problems. Our specialist team is also perfectly placed to aid clients looking for injury prevention and to use massage therapy to support their training regimes.

Our highly experienced staff are experts in their field. With physios from as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as the UK, we boast a truly world-class team. Such a broad knowledge base enables us to truly tailor our service to the patient and because of this, our results are outstanding and our patient-retention rates are exceptionally high.

Being an independent clinic, we take the time to get to know our patients and focus not only on their immediate issue but the wider underlying symptoms that may pose long-term problems, too.

More than just pain management

While many of our patients come to us for rehabilitation or to combat chronic pain, we see a growing number of clients coming to us for injury prevention and to help enhance their athletic performance.

Physiotherapy can help to improve circulation, speed up muscle recovery, support improved posture and alignment, combat gait issues and a wealth of other issues that all contribute towards athletic performance. Through regular visits to our clinic, many of West London Physiotherapy’s clients are able to avoid injury and reach new heights with our assistance.

What does treatment involve?

Most physiotherapy treatment is fairly straightforward. The most important thing is to identify the cause of the problem. This can usually be done with a range clinical tests, and without the need for scans.

Treatment will usually consist of a combination of hands-on manual therapy techniques (massage, manipulation, joint mobilisation) and specific exercise. We may also use dry needling/acupuncture, and electrotherapy.

How long are the treatment sessions?

An initial assessment and treatment is 1 hr. Any further sessions are usually 30 minutes. We will tell you how many session we think you’ll need, and don’t keep treating you if you’re not improving. 25% of our patients need only one session, while most need between 2-6 sessions. However we can be more specific after you’ve been assessed.
